July 12, 2002: APPROBAL OF SPANISH LAW ON E-COMMERCE.
The Official Bulletin of the State has
published
Law 34/2002, dated july 11, on the Information Society Services and
Electronic Commerce.
April 22, 2002: AMENDMENTS TO THE
DRAFT BILL ON ELECTRONIC COMMERCE (SPAIN). The
Congress has
published the
amendments proposed to the contents of the Draft
Bill on Electronic Commerce. The Spanish version of the document can be
consulted at the
library.
April 12, 2002: The
Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology
has released for
public consultation the
Draft
National Plan for the Regulation of the Domain Name under the country
code “.es” which has been drafted in cooperation with the
public entity Red.es. Public comments must be submitted to the Ministry prior to May

1 February 2002:
The Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology has released the
draft bill on electronic commerce which implements the European Directive on
electronic commerce.
27 December 2001:
The Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology has released for open
discussion the draft bill on electronic signatures which implements the
European Directive on electronic signatures. This version of the draft
bill derogates the Royal Decree 14/1999, September 17, currently in
force, and creates the Electronic National Identification Document and
the electronic certificates for enterprises.
Note: At the present moment, the above-mentioned documents (except the
Directive) are only available in Spanish.
